Hello,
I've been trying to find some information regarding the length of
the optical tube of most of the reverse scan kits available now in the market, to be exact, not only the length of the tube but of the entire assembly (tube and preamp block).
I ended with a pair of oddball projectors that I've been slowly rebuilding, it's a pair of GK12 ( arrrr.. they again [Embarrassed]

). They do not have the GK soundhead but a Zeiss-Ikon SH on the back. The problem I have with those heads is the space available between the mounting bracket where the slit lens used to go and the end of the lamphouse. at the max, I have about a inch and a half maybe 2 inches .the bracket is +/- 3/4" in length and a half inch from it to the sound drum. ( I tried to take some pictures of it but none came out ,will take the proper measurements when I have the time to get into my "shop of horrors" again)
To have reverse scan fitted on them, I'll need a kit with a short tube and a led assembly ( not a pre-made assembly, but mostly the led alone) the sound drum is of the kind where the film rides only on the edges of the drum (like the Prevost's sound drum) and not over it as it does on Simplex/Century/RCA sound readers.
So, what kind of reader I'd go for? any ideas,suggestions.. ?

ACL audio cine has laser kits which would fit which would also include a new slit lens. www.audio-cine.ch
