Anyone know where I can get a replacement thermostat for this beast?

Since the company is now shut down, I'd try a concession
dealer whoo handles popcorn machines. It is the same type,
but a lower temp rating

I thought Meier Hancock was bought out by one of the big editorial supply houses in Burbank.... Christies perhaps....

Do you know the ratings on the thermostat. Most thermostats can be replaced with a thermal switch which are like only 50 cents at the most. If you find me the rating I can look for you. Just need to know what voltage, amps, and temperate on and off.

Mark--

They could have been bought out by someone else... I don't
know offhand. I bought my MH Hot Splicer about twenty years
ago when everything was pretty stable there personel-wise.
I suggest that one remove the bad thermostat from the unit
a contact a local industrial supply house and match it up.
That's the best I can do from this end!!

Yes, you might give Christy's Editorial in Burbank a call. 800-566-5706 or their website.

Edit: Looks like Christy's put an incorrect number on their catalog....

Thanks guys,
Christy's does indeed stock parts for this splicer although at $43.00 it's a little more than I want to spend.
The tel. # by the way is 800-556-5706.
