Hi everyone

I've been told that the THX has retired the THX Broadway 2000 Trailer (Let's see it...) because the sound mix was wrong and cause many damages around the world.

Since the Broadway 2000 is no more included in DTS disks, I thought that it is true..

Do you know something?

If something in the mix was damaging speakers, the sound systems were not designed properly.

That's too bad. Broadway 2000 is one of my favorite "deep note" mixes.

It's too short!!! Lucasfilm needs to get an agressive sound mixer (such as one of the "Garys") in the Stag to remix the Broadway. Of course to make sure they do a good job, Joe Redifer should be whipping them routinely during the mix so they are nice and angry and put some real meat into it. The recent variations of the Broadway are much too tame. [Devil]

Yes! It is far too short.

To be honest I've never really heard it in a theatre. I've got a nice vob file of it that I can listen to on my home theatre system. About the mix, I'm refering to the way the deep note ... um .. deep notes. I dunno. Nevermind.

Maybe folks were playing it on non THX stuff for kicks. If so, they got what they deserved! [evil]

I love that trailer. It is short, but the bass comes out of nowhere and sorta makes you go WOW! the first time you hear it.

When I first added it to our movies, the manager called me on my cell phone the next day to tell me that he was in the office (which sits between two THX auditoriums) counting money when all of a sudden all the quarters started vibrating across the counter *ching ching ching* Then the computer monitor in front of him started shaking and when he reached up to grab it, the vent collapsed in from the ceiling. Then he finished with a laugh and said "That was awesome!"

The Latest THX logo has the worst 'Deep note' so far, (Bounty)

Must agress the Broadway 2000 campaign logo is pretty damn amazing, shame the Bounty logo didn't have it as the end Deep Note.
