Back in the 1930's Ultraphone of Minneapolis produced a few different soundheads. Does anyone still any of the manuals? Or soundhead gears to connect with a Simplex Super? The specific information I am looking for is this: Did Utraphopne sell differnt gear packages to match your projector head? What were the tooth count combinations? Were they installed at the factory or did a tech take care of it? What I do know is that Simplex sold a main drive gear with 48 sprocket teeth that would allow you to drive the soundhead directly to the main drive gear. However, my Ultraphone also has a 48 tooth matching gear (bicycle chain --- style 25) and I wind up with the projector running faster than the sounhead. The math would seen to indicate you need a 12 tooth gear on the soundhead to equalize the speed. So, as I mentioned, if you can help, please call, email or post. Thanks.
