I am not a big fan of auto focusers but I have to install them. Only problem is that I cannot figure out how to set the flat and scope position. I couldn't find anythign in the manuals section about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make your company technician do it. You are but a lowly projectionist. [av=m]

Good point Joe. If they're aren't paying you extra or a "tech rate", you shouldn't be installing equipment for them.

I wasnt asking for permission, just wanting to know how to set the position for the flat and the scope.

What is the current "Tech Rate"?

If yours are the same as the ones I worked with, as I recall there are hall effect sensors on tiny circuit boards that are held with tiny screws and a magnet on the carriage. You move the boards together or apart to get the travel required, I had to file the mounting holes and even the edges of the cards (they hit with too much travel) to get the right amount of motion. If the sensors are too close together the thing goes screwy, it whirs around a long way then gets stuck because the magnet goes outside of the gap between sensors. I adjust for the best light in flat and then set the focus motor to drop the scope light level to a reasonable level. If yours don't have the loading springs on the posts then get them as that makes the movement much more repeatable - new ones have these but the early ones do not.
