Hi

Since I have a Dolby Digital defective reel on my print of 9/11, I've connect my laptop to my Cp650 to track the error rate and send it to the lab with the reel.

The software connect correctly to the unit, but on the feature reads 0.0 error rate. It read corrwectly all the other parameters, but the error rate shown is always 0.0 while on the CP's display is between 5 and 7. On the trailers the reading was correct. The software starts reading 0.0 at the beginning of the movie. However, the software shows when the SRD reading fall to "F".

It is not the first time I see this kind of behaviour. My software is 1.0.3.6 and CP650's software is 2.2.5.0

How can I correct this problems? Is there a new version of the software?

Thanks for your time!

Bye
A

Antonio,
I don't know which is the problem, but my software version works good, it's the 1.0.4.2

Are the histogram trace and contour trace good?

Ciao
Nando

Yes, all is traced correctly but the error rate says 0.0 all the time.

This is a bug with 1.0.3.6. DRAS.
Get 1.0.4.2. and it will read correctly.

Someone down the road (maybe tomorrow, maybe next year) will be doing a search for this same problem. It's for the sake of the archives, so when a tech is stuck at 8:00 on a Friday night trying to work with a reader, it's right there upon doing a search. [thumbsup]

Of course, it will be useful!

In a first moment, when I read the link (\manual) I thought that I miss it in the manual section, then I noted that in the manual section there is still the 1036 software...

Thanks to all!
