Hi everyone
Yesterday I take away three JBL stage speakers from a closed theater. The horn is divided into two parts and the two parts are connected toghether using screws. I noted in the center channel that between the two parts of the horn has been put silicone sealant part of wich has leaked INTO the horn itself...
Why this has been done? Seems that the "gasket" (saw on the pdf) is missing. Should I replace it?
Bye

Seems like you need to replace it. Would a felt gasket work?

Try a circle cut out of card. Cheap, quick and easy.
The gasket is needed for sealing the driver to the horn flare in order to provide the correct loading on the pressure unit's diaphragm.
