I have it. It seems fairly accurate. I tested it against a calibrated Minolta spot meter, it was a little lower (maybe 1-1.5fL). You can't really say what exactly it says because the display goes in 3fL steps. I have heard widely differing opinions though. A friend of mine tested his against a calibrated spot meter in a studio in LA and his was right on the mark. Others told me theirs were completely off and they sent them back.
Overall, I think it is an OK tool to have and carry around for basic checking - certainly much more affordable than an actual spot meter, if not as exact.
If I am correctly informed, this is also available in Europe from an English manufacturer, but I just can't find the bookmark right now.
To sum this up, I think it would be worth a try. If you have an opportunity to check it against a calibrated meter, you should get one and see how accurate yours is and decide if it is good enough for you to work with.

It's a great tool for checking illumination between service calls.
