Hi
I have an Ultra Stereo JS105/195 Processor.I need to know if it is possible to switch the processor from "Non-Sync" to "Film" sound via automation.i.e. when the START button is pushed I want it to switch from NON-SYNC to FILM and when the STOP button is pushed I want it to switch back to NON-SYNC.
If this is possible how do I wire it up to get it to work?
The P.O.S. automation(if you could call it that)I have is a relay based box on the wall,I think the brand name is ORC(I'd have to check that).
Currently I have an earlier model Ultra Stereo JS 95/105(YES they still exist!)installed in this rack which appears to have had quite a few modifications done to the Format Card to make it switch formats from the automation.

If there are terminals on the format card for "N/S", "Stereo", etc., they ought to be dry contacts. A momentary short to the "Common" terminal (or Ground?) will cause the processor to change from one format to the other.

If your automation uses held contacts instead of momentary ones, make a one-shot circuit out of a 555-timer IC. If you don't do that, the held contact will override any further attempts to make the processor switch formats until it is released.

Early JS serries processors require maintained contact closures
