We've had problems getting the anamorph in focus for ages now, but it was really noticable with Spiderman2, seeing as it was a print in fairly good condition. Between screenings we followed the "Focusing Anamorphics" tip, but still couldn't get a sharp focus on both the top and bottom of the screen at the same time. This lead us to suspect something wrong with the equipment itself. The anamorphic lens itself was upside down. Looks like it has built-in compensation for being tilted down. Now we have a really good focus all over, and old projectionists come in and say "Good Lord! You've got a new scope lens!". So I was just thinking that it might be worth adding to the tip that if you still can't get it right, try rotating the lens 180 degrees. (It's only obvious if you know about it).

Actually its an astigmatsm adjustment, not focus.....
