What Equipment does your theater uses for projection and sound?
If you can, tell the Equipment make and model like a Christie P35C projector; and tell if you think it is good or not and why.
Also state where and what the theater is called

Harkins Superstition Springs 25
Mesa, Arizona

All setups are Christie AW3s [Big Grin] with Cinemec V5s. [puke]

All theatres are equipped with DTS capabilities(no sdds). The sound processors are CP500s. AW3 MUTs are used as well.

Reel Theatres
5 locations, one in Nampa, 3 in Boise Idaho, and one in Ontario, ORE.

Strong X-90 consoles
Simplex 1050 (3, 1014's, and 3 1050's at one theatre)
Simplex 5 Star
Strong A3/AP3 platters
Dolby CP-55 with DA-20s
CAT-700's
Ultra Stereo J-1000 units
Ultra Stereo center/surround units (these blow big time..)
DTS 6/6D units

Ontario:

Strong X-90 consoles
Simplex Mil2000 (with manual [Eek!] turrets)
Simplex 5 star
Strong AP3 platters
CP-500's
CAT-701's

all platters using the [Eek!] microswitch brains (damned things...) just have to watch out for those diodes in the motors shorting out, otherwise a decent platter, but nowhere close to the CHR AW3/R units.

The manual turret configuration for the Mil2000 blows a big one: with that turret rotation release lever jutting out there like nobodys business, one can really lose an eye when focusing through a small single port window.

-thx Monte

Beach Cinema, 110 Main St., Bradley Beach NJ.

Single-screen 520-seat house, changeover booth. Two Super Simplexes over IPC Simplex SH1000 soundheads, Christie K30 xenon lamps, mono Altec-Lansing sound system. Runs great. 6000' reels.

Reading Cinemas Geelong Australia
Kinoton FP50D Consol's
Kinoton platters with electronic l.e.d payouts I think these are great no wraps at all
QSC amps
Ultra stereo JSX1000'S
Electrovoice speaker systems
Pennywise automation
2 movable DTS players
8 Dolby Digital DA 20'S
All 8 screens have Dolby Digital with 4 also with DTS and SR.D.
We tend to favor SR.D
2 screens have Panastereo ex decoders.
On the whole I am very happy with the equipment it gives no problems at all.

Steve [thumbsup]

Yelm Cinemas @ Prairie Park. Independent 8 Screen.

All Christie SLC consoles w/ the dreaded M35GPS heads(the P35's retarded brother in-law). Christie AW3R platter systems. Christie Autowind 3's (with a newer bigger motor installed). Dolby 650 processors, Dolby 701 heads, SDDS & DTS in our largest auditorium and Kodak AFT pro slide projectors (which I hate with a passion definatly not designed for constant usage ugh).
