Has anyone purchased Marble "Eagle" carbons recently. One theatre owner I know recently ordered carbons and was sent National brand instead of Marble. These National carbons are made in India by Schultz Carbon Electrodes and the quality is noticeably worse. They burn at a higher amperage to give the same light and they flicker noticeably, with changes in color temperature. The Marble carbons that they had been using were fine. Maybe not as good as National used to be, but the on-screen image was good.
Are Marble carbons no longer available, or was this dealer just trying to sell this theatre a cheaper product?

Scott, you can get Marble carbons from Jack Roe. They are, I believe, made in Japan, and of excellent quality.
