John, many thanks for posting this up.

For the record it was a terrific seminar and those who took part got a huge amount from it. Much of the tuition was hands-on, with multimeters passed round and several demonstration aids relating to the topics covered. There was great information on passive and active components, the nature of AC / DC supplies, health and safety issues, and so on. We even had an oscilloscope to demonstrate rectification!

UGC gave one of their auditoria for the day, and lots of people pitched in to make the event happen. To anyone living in the UK or Ireland, I cannot recommend these courses highly enough.
