Don, Be sure to use Star-Quad on this job so you have at least some S/N ratio......

Mark,
Which number cable is best and would this be the StarQuad mike cable? Is there a Belden number I should be looking for?

I use Beldon 9452 exclusively for Mag systems the carbon tape provides the best noise imunity of any cable out there

Thanks Gordy........
I'll go buy a roll.
Now if I can just find the wiring details from the terminal strip. I know which head belongs to which channel but a can't figure a way to match it up with the output connections.

Don the 9452 is a pair cable I don'tusually use quad cable and the noise imunity is very good
I think there is a penthouse in the shop (still under water
)
so when I can find it I will check but off the top of my head there should be 4 rows of 3 terminal soulder lugs
L is the top centre then right then effects
Signal high was the first terminal low was the middel and shield was the end
Usually I float the shield at the penthouse

Don,
Simplex had two types of mag heads. The early ones were made by GPL and are smaller with sprocket shoes. The later ones have pad rollers. The are not wired the same. Which one do you have? I probably have info in old Simplex manuals.

Dick,
These penthouses have the brass pad rollers. Does that help?
Gordy,
These have two rows of screw lugs numbered 1-6 (top row) 7-12 (bottom row)
