Please can anyone tell me how to get the remote focussing motor working on a Prevost P70. I presume it is possible to wire two switches somewhere to enable the motor to move back and forth but I can't find where. My Manual doesn't contain the relevant information.

If you can manually move the focus adjustments without the motor, I wouldnt even bother hooking it up.

the Christie SLC and Big Sky consoles have motorized focus adjustments that occasionally freeze in the wrong position. thereby causing small amounts of blistering on the film.

I would set lamp focus for Scope picture and leave it.

I believe it the projector focus being referenced here.

Actually we have one customer in Nevada that has a pair of P-90's. These machhines are over 20 years old but still look and run like new. I just changed the belts for the first time last summer! This customer makes full use of the remote focus and loves it. I've tried it and it works very effectively.

Now you can stand beside the screen and focus the image. What a great way to make the best possible image on your screen.

Several of our Travelog speakers have made their own remote focus rigs for the Bell & Howell arc lamp projectors they carry with them. These were usually radio controlled servos from the model airplane hobby shop. Very effective and the owners seemed to have few problems with them.

Most of the Kodak screening rooms have remote focus capability for the 35mm projectors. Very easy to get perfect focus when you are close to the screen. [Cool]
