I am considering an Ultra MC Isco anamorphic 70428 (gold) lens which I assume is an attatchment, for a theatrette with a throw of 26 feet. Can anyone tell me what this lens will focus down to? Any comments about it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
We've got these in a preview room with a 7.5m throw and no problems at all. What is your screen size and backing lens ?
How's NZ ? Hoping to be there at Xmas
Regards

Thank you Peter. Backing lens will have to be upgraded. It is presently an antique 4 inch Kaylee Taylor and Hobson. Screen size is 11 feet wide. If you are coming over, be sure to make contact.

Hi
The ISCO MC anamorphic is ticked marked down to 17 ft and 5 meters which is about 16.7 ft. I have worked with this lens down to 15 ft and know it might go to 13.5 ft minimum. After that, resolution falls off a cliff. Any lens less then 3 inches will also have some edge falloff.
My new compact Super Cinelux anamorphic is tick marked down to 10 ft and works great at that distance. It will also take any lens from 100mm to 50 mm. I am using it with a 60mm ISCO Ultra Star HD at 14 ft for a very sharp 4x10 ft image.
