Do anyone knows where I can purchase a microphone calibrater so I can calibrate my RTA mics....I seen one once, seen it being use, but do not know where to purchase one...any ideas ?? thanks..

THX used to sell the adapter for the R2 mics to fit them onto the BK calibrator

Check with Countryman since they make the mics. They may also make the adaptor or have on that will work.

Mark are you talking about the calibrater, where do I get a mic. calibrator to calibrate my mics...I have the Ultra-Stereo mics & mulit-plexer & a Audio Control mic. for my RTA..I am now using the Ivie-33 & need to calibrate the mics. to the Ivie...any ideas where to purchase a Microphone Calibrator ??

Your Mics are made by a company called Counrtyman. I would suggest that you contat them and see what they reccomend for a calibrator. Countryman link

1. Tom Holman once calibrated my old IE-30 mike by mounting it exactly 4 inches from a speaker and comparing it to his.

2. Alternatively, you could get a rough approximation by using the speaker spec "blank db at one meter" and setting in the correct power level (1 watt) electrically. This is the method us "old timers" used. (Assume 1.0 KHz 1000 cycles)!)

For SPL microphone calibration, I use the Bruel & Kjaer 4231. It won't do anything for frequency response, but it will acurately calibrate sound pressure level.
