Does anybody have the QSC Model 1400 amplifier dip switch settings nearby? The manual doesn't seem to be here or on qscaudio.com, and I am sitting in a theater in which I want to replace a busted Peavey amp with that 1400, so I need the settings to make sure I set them right for the new configuration.

The switches are 1-8, there is no legend on the amp itself.

Thanks! I wasn't aware of that forum. I usually call the guys at QCS directly, like Sam Hynds who also posts here, he knows all that stuff from memory. But I don't have the number with me...
This one will be 2 separate channels stereo mode, so I will use the config mentioned there. I would like to know what the options for the DIP switches are though.
Is there no manual for 1400s? It is strange that there is no manual anywhere to be found. There is a service manual for it on the QSC website, but they want $15 for the download. What's that all about?

Michael, a lot of people treat service manuals different from operation manuals. As to the series 1 owners manuals, I believe they predate pdf's use by a bit and thus would probably need to be scanned. Originally, they were in "booklet" form too with very tiny type.

Well, the irony is that in the post Dave cited, QSC offers to email a PDF of the manual (for free -- not the service manual) if you ask for it.

I think it's the usual problem that the engineers are different from the people who maintain the web site, and they haven't made it a priority to put a link to the manual up on the web. This is a common problem, and somewhat understandable. Why not ask them nicely, Michael?

Jhawk is right, when they have it already in pdf, why don't they post it? There are still a lot of 1400 in the field. I will ask about that next time I speak to them.

The web site doesn't have the operating manual for the Series One amplifiers - oops, but the switches are explained in this manual.

3.5 INPUT SWITCHES AND MONO BRIDGING

3.51 Input Programming Switch:

Switches 1,2: Bypass the octal socket for Ch2

Switches 7,8: Bypass the octal socket for Ch1

Switches 3,4: Connects outputs from octal 1 to both channels

Switches 5,6: Connects Ch1 & Ch2 in parallel.

Just FYI: The Service manuals are sold due to the fact that the user will be repairing the amplifier.
