DTS recently announced the following:

This spring DTS successfully completed the launch of the XD10P into the market place. The combination of the XD10 and XD10P has proven to be an excellent match offering cinemas a cost-effective, complete end-to-end 8-channel system that provides flexibility for future generations of hardware.
Due to the limited availability of components necessary to produce the 6D, 6AD and ECP, effective December 31, 2005, DTS will no longer market these units. DTS will continue to service and support these units and spare parts will continue to be available. Please note that the supply of these units is limited and sales may cease prior to December 31st, 2005.

If I read that correctly, the subject should read "Production ending on DTS-6D, DTS-6AD and ECP", should it not?

Will there be a replacement drive for the DTS 6D and 6AD now that Teac has disconinued the 32x scsi drive or will there be a IDE interface option

I'm sure they will continue with scsi and just use a modern equivalent. The last batch of replacement drives I recieved are CDRW drives [Smile]

DTS has begun using IDE Drives with a SCSI interface for the DTS-6, 6D, and 6AD drive kits. These drives and interfaces have been working out quite well and can be mixed with existing drives. Single drive kit replacements are also available. DTS continues to research and test different drives to always have something available.
