I have two Simplex 35's with curved gates that the aperture plates will not stay in place. They vibrate out of place.

These gates have nothing for the little latching nubs to click into. Any suggestions to keep them in place and still have them easy to change?

A couple of things...first...make sure your machine is not vibrating excessively (shutter out of balance or perhaps the motor coupling going bad).

Next, check the spring clip that holds the aperture it should be applying enough force to hold it in place.

Next...make sure teh dimples have not worn down, if they have, pien them.

Lastly, you can pien the top and bottom of the plate (on the flat part) to expand the metal so that it provides more friction on the top and bottom.
