Ok, my old Xenex I's. I have performed the grainger blower upgrade to all. Running much cooler these days.

Would another small blower on the side of the lamphouse with the air blowing directly on the bulb be of any additional benefit? Something like this is what I had in mind: Blower

Now most of the air is being drawn in from the bottom grill and some in from the lamphouse snout.

I wouldn't. Since with the stack fan upgrade that you did, the air is being drawn enough through the bottom grills and the "snood" of your Xenex, especially if you not running a 3k bulb in that thing.

Now, if you were cooking a 6k bulb in that lamphouse, then I could see adding a side fan blowing on the anode seal, but not on the bulb itself.... plus a lot stronger stack fan would be needed to pull all of that hot air out.

You should start seeing better lamp life with the stack upgrade. Just be sure to keep the bottom louvers open. These do clog up with dust bunnies and it does cut down dramatically on air flow when they are clogged up.
