I have an eary version of a Kinoton automation.I have been told it is a ST450(15x15 pegboard).There is nothing on the unit that i can verify this with.
What I would like to do is to get a copy of a manual for this unit so I can sort out how to set it up.Can anyone help??
Also I would like to know any comments from you guys about this unit-reliability,flexibility etc.

I was obviously told the wrong information.
How do you drive this thing?
Are the "links" directional(like a diode)when they are plugged into the pegboard?
Would there be a manual available?

Ian, it is an ST 450, that is what it is designated in Europe and Australia by Philips and later Kinoton. The US used many differing names as they were distributed there by Norelco, then Kinotone and later others like BLS. That is why we call the DP70 (Europe) an EL4000 (Australia) and a Norelco AA11 all by different names. Their first platter was known as an ST 200.

You have probably the best of the early generation automation systems made. It is essentailly a Cinemation without the line skips!

Thanks David-now I realise where the confusion come from.
It took a while to work out what all the symbols meant for the outputs then it all seemed to fall into place how this thing works.It works a treat-just got to remember to change a couple of pegs for C/S and W/S prints.
