I noticed in the "Recent Warehouse Additions" is a software upgrade for the XD-10(V1.01.17).I've never done a software upgrade yet!!!Do you just download the Zip file, open the file and then Burn it to a disc and then load the disc into the XD-10 and it automatically upgrades to the newer version? Or is there a section in the XD-10's settings that needs to be opened to get it to accept the upgrade?
Merry Christmas to All

It's just like it says, the file is a Nero image. You download the zip file to your computer and extract it to some place on your hard drive. (In the zip file is the actual dts file in "Nero image" format as well as a text file explaining step by step the procedure for loading the software update.)
Then open up the Nero cd burning program and select "burn from image", then let it burn the disc. From that point, just stick it in the XD10 and follow the instructions on the text file.
Version 1.01.17 is the latest XD10 software file and fixes some known bugs.
(Not sure if other programs like Adaptec can recognize the image format.)

Question for Brad: Why are you posting these in a propriety format that needs special software (Nero) instead of the industry-standard .iso format (ISO-9660 image file) that works on with all CD burning software?

Only to annoy people like you John.
(This is the format I know how to create. When you made an image file in the past, no one could use it.)

Nero sucks big time. I don't know anyone that uses it. I would also reccomend the .iso image file method over any other so anyone can make a disk from the file....

There is nothing wrong with Nero Mark. Just like there is nothing wrong with the CP650 and everything else in the industry you hate.
Take it or leave it guys. Didn't your mother teach you not to complain over things you get for free? Sheesch, what ungrates!
