Back in the 70's and 80's and 90's were almost all films on Eastman film stock? I read somewhere of some being distributed on Fuji and Agfa stock too. Could I be wrong?

Also while I am at it does the director of photography of the particular film have full control on what stock the film is released on? Or is it a lab decision? I would think it is the cinematographer's call, as I don't think a film shot on Fuji would contrast well with Eastman upon release.

Print-wise, the studio and the lab were the determining factor. Some labs used only one brand of stock- for a lab example, in the 80's and early 90's Film House (now DeLuxe Toronto) used Agfa print stock exclusively. A studio example: Most if not all Warner Bros. and New Line releases are printed to Fuji stock. Other labs used a combination of all three stocks.

Negative stock-wise, I would guess that the DP, producer, and director would make the film stock call for shooting...
