I want to know what are dimension of exciter lamp for V8 or may bee some link to V8 exciter lamp type?
Also does ti possible to regulate DC voltage for exciter lamp on V8 projector?

"Newer" ones use a BXM lamp and "much older" ones use something else, if I remember correctly.
They don't come with a regulated supply if that's what you're asking.
It sounds like you're looking at brewing your own Jax Light.

The 'older' ones used a regular screw-base bulb that had a special smooth base (with orienting pin-hole) soldered on. I just gave away about 20 of them. I'm sure many operators got burned fingers from changing out that lamp.
The exciter supply was AC, which was a really stupid thing to supply with an otherwise good projector.

The 0080 bulb filament is heavy to help dampen the A.C. noise

Hi, problem is still actual! Vic 8 about 20 year old, does it have DC or AC exciter lamp supply and if someone have dimenzion or picture of exciter bulb, or even type?
