Is there something out there that allows you to attach the trailer core to it and then put it on your work table. I've been breaking trailers apart by hand and always wondered if there was something for the cores to fit on.

Less expensive aluminum flanges (also by Goldberg) are also available from Goldberg Dealers...other manufacturers make them too but Golberg has the best and they work with both "male" and "female" cores with no set screws to misplace or damage.

...and yet, some of these plastic shipping reels, if taken apart, those small one inch cores fits perfectly on the one half flange hub - if there are no protrusions that would prevent usage as such.

I saw something like the trailer flange in one of our booths but it was for 16mm film so I started assuming there was something like that for the 35mm. On the trailer tips section (which I had seen before but didn't make it to the bottom) is the same thing being used to rewind it just without the other side on it?

All of the trailer flanges I've seen (admittedly, not many) are just a post that is keyed to accept the plastic trailer core, and a flange bolted to one side of the post to help wind film evenly. There is not a flange for the other side.
