I have a few Super Platters that I need to change out the micro-switch on the control plate. I haven't been able to locate a parts manual that represents the style that I am working on. Below is a picture of the switch and housing I am looking for. Does anyone recognize or have a part # for this.

Head on over to www.grainger.com and look up 6X284 micros..basically the same, just add your wire connections.and you have to take out the spring that increases the ounce tension. You'll have to take your switch and see if yours matches with this one from Grainger..

...or just email Dick Niccum at Lighting Images Technology and tell him you need some more of the microswitches for a Super. They're cheap enough, and don't require any modifications...

and the switch is a separate device from the plastic housing, FWIW.

Be careful as not all of the Potts/Strong pay out plates will fit all of the versions of the Stupid Platters out there. Some Stupid Platters have a short spindle(axle) making installation of the newer plates just about impossible. The new plate will rub on the deck or you simply won't be able to fasten it at all. Be sure what ever you buy is returnable to your dealer if it doesn't work out!

I have yet to see a good installation of those heads that needed spacers and or shims. Its just not feasable to do it in the booth and do it right. It would be nice if either potts or Dick Niccum offered the correct spacers or new bolt on plates.

Agreed...they should supply a "kit" for the variances that are the reality. Since you and I have mechanical backgrounds and tooling, we have no trouble building rockets [Wink]
