Does anyone have the wiring schematic for the slow-start kit made for a Cinemeccanica? [Confused]

This is the one with 2 latching relays (timer on top of one, nothing no the other), 3 green resistors and a 13 position terminal strip.

If I remember correctly, the resistors are in series with one another and the motor lead (although, I thought both relays were time-delays).

When the start button is pressed, power is applied to the motor through all three series resistors. When the button is released, it shorts the first resistor. The remaining resistors are then progressively shorted by the time delay relays until the full supply voltage is applied to the motor. I'm sorry, I can't remember the exact configuration.

But I hope this helps. I'm sure others can fill in the gaps. [Smile]

The kit was pretty simple, the only unknown is the resistor values and ratings. I think you just use the starting resistors from the manual start switch circuit.
There are two 3-phase contactors, one with a pneumatic time delay attached. When you switch on, the one with the delay energizes and powers the 3-phase motor through the 3 resistors. When the delay switch closes it energizes the other contactor which bypasses the resistors and sends line power directly to the motor. You just set the time delay to allow the motor to reach full speed before switching.
If you want pushbutton control the first contactor also needs an auxiliary NO contact to hold it on once closed; this connection is interrupted by a NC stop button. If an motor on/off switch is OK for you or you are using an automation with a sustained motor relay contact you can do without the aux contact - or use it to control the sound reader LED.

Also the single phase hookup for the cinemecanica uses 2 banks of capacitors that are switch during starting leaving one on for the third phase

Just give a look in the manual of prevost p55,the only difference is that in prevost there are only two resistors.
