Projector is Christie P35GPS with central pivot digital sound head. (The one that has both an analog and Dolby basement reader)

I was hoping someone might know the part # for this.

This is a different roller with basically a rubber band around it. This seems to greatly help our errors on that Dolby reader.

One of these rollers was bent and I need to replace it.

But, the only part # I can find looks like it is for the standard roller without the little rubber band
(part # for this one is 194798-001)

Does anyone know about this?

Call Jum Graetz at Christie on Monday and he can help you with that one.... There are different versions of just about every part in the thing.

That is the correct part #, I buy them often. You will be ahead
to change out the bearings as well part # 598931-122. Chrisite
added the 0 ring on the inboard side to help with the error rate
on Digital prints.

Just so I understand correctly, the O-ring version is now standard and has the same part # as the original?

I thought that this might be the case but I wanted to make sure that it did not have a different part #.

(Out of 24 houses, only 4 of them have the O-ring, so I thought they might be something special. I guess they were just bought at a later time.)

I spoke to Jim Graton at Christie and got the correct part #.

I wanted to include it here for future reference.

The NEW sound drum WITH THE O-RING -- 196315-001

The OLD sound drum with NO O-RING -- 194798-001

The cost for this item is a little over $300.

However, Jim did say that this is probably a case where, if you use the old part #, it will automatically transfer to the new part and part #. So, even if you use the old # you will probably still get the version with the O-Ring.
