I have a VIC 8 that runs 12000ft reels top and bottom. For the first few minutes of running a show the film does not seem to have enough tension on it causing the film to rub against the cue reader(the type that sensors cues only in one position).Just thought that i could move the cue reader further away from the film but I'm not sure what distance is required between the reader and the film for the reader to work.
Cheers Ian

It depends on the particular proximity switch used
the blue cruzet and the round cylindrical ones that are original cinemecanica tend to be a sensing distance of about 2-3mm
