Has the NE570 chip been disconinued or is there a direct replacement
I normal source here has droped the entire phillips signetics line and I don't seem to find it listed at digikey or newark

On Semi still makes it NOS Phillips chips. You can find the data sheet here.

You might just request samples but keep in mind that you are usually limited to SMT type devices for free.
