I know you're supposed to put the proper damper oil in the Westar soundheads, but is there any off-the-shelf oils (3-in-1 etc) that would work just as well in a projector that is run in a home environment?

Give Omnex Pro-Film Ltd or Bell Theatres a call for Century Dash Pot Oil.

Not oil: silicon. Very sensitive to viscosity will affect wow & flutter. Use the real thing...Century is OK. Louis
