I am currently using a flat Snaplite lens F/1.7 at my drive in. We are looking to change lens which would help to increase light on the screen the Schneider or ISCO? Thanks, By the way 300 ft throw 40X80 screen Kniesely II 4000 watt bulb.

A snaplight is OK, unless you need light. In a drive in, that means everyone. Get a new lens; you won't be sorry. Louis

The current (February/March 2007)of SMPTE Motion Imaging Journal has an article that details some of the history of lens development. By today's standards, the Snaplite is ancient history, and you would be well served by a lens of modern design.
