I just picked one up. Where in my film path would you recommend I use this if at all.
Kinetronics

Im running a double mutt full play. I come off the mutt into a Kelmar film cleaner using Film Guard/Film Guard media pads into the projector. Im running analog sound. Would you put this pre/post the Kelmar or after the projector. Are they safe on film? Do you recommend I not use this at all?

You'd be far better off with a set of PTR rollers. The Kinetronics is really more of a a photolab/photo machine sort of thing.

I agree with Mark. The Kinetronics static film cleaner is more of a photo lab film cleaner. I had 3 of these, but eventually sold them off on eBay a few years ago. They were more of a pain in the arse to keep clean and maintain. That said, Kinetronics does make a projector top mount bracket as pictured (right pic) there in your link.

Out of curiosity, why would you need a second cleaner if you are already using the Kelmar media cleaner with Film Guard?

I doubt that this machine would have any effect at all with FilmGuard on the print. And don't bother using PTRs with FilmGuard, either.

There's no need for it if you're using FG. They do work pretty well keeping new prints looking good though.

Greater Union Mosman had one in the early 90's and their prints looked great.

Then they dumped them for PTR's... [Confused]

The Kelmar machine with FG is the best!
