Ok all you Christie Lovers [Big Grin]

What is the main reason for a P35GPS to have a bouncy picture which not only shakes up and down but also left and right. Extremely anoying especially since having subtitles makes the whole thing so damn noticable!

Lateral guides out of alignment. You need the Christie tool to properly set the lateral guides both top one and bottom one. Note you need to make sure they spin freely and do not bind only allow but the slightest side play.

Does it sound like it is running louder than normal. If so there could be an issue with the ultramittent. Check the guides first and run the band tension as close to one as possible without jump in the picture. If none of this works and the gate is latched properly the problem may be in the ultramittent.

Also check the intermittent pressure pad to be sure its closing all the way and its not worn out or out of alignment. Yes... you WILL need the Christie tool to align the lateral guides but you can also do it with a small Granite Surface plate and a helght gauge although its time consuming this way. The tool also serves to align the sound reproducer lateral guides so its multi-useful Re: the guides... Don't just align them take them apart(carefully so you don't loose the Ruby Slippers to a crack in the floor or worse yet CARPETING!!!!!!!) And check the ends of the lateral guides and the ruby slippers carefully for wear. Not even the Ruby Slippers last for ever... The ends of the lateral guides also eventually wear. If this is the case do a temporary alignment till you can by stock in Christie Digital but you should eventually replace them.
