I've just integrated a CP650 and an original DTS-6 unit and have a small annoying problem. The DTS-6 doesn't have any intelligent steering of the "Fallback" pulse, as does the DTS-6D. So the problem I have is that when the projector tails out at the end of the show, the loss of timecode causes a pulse to the CP650 and pulls the processor out of NS and puts it into Format 05.

I've thought about simply dropping the fallback completely, but then if something should go wrong during the feature, the audio wouldn't revert back to the other available options.

One thought I had would be to put on an extra cue to kick the NS back on after the timecode drops. Has anyone else run into this - how did you resolve it?

You can't put your shutdown cue too early on those units, as unlike the 6-d unit (which won't revert to SR in the last 60 seconds of the credits *and* pulses to NS at the end of valid timecode) if your shutdown cue happens before the timecode is over, the SR fallback will occur.
