Alright, we finally got our hands on a used rack with DTS-6, DA20 and a CP55, which will arrive here in a couple of weeks. We didnt buy the CP55 though, as we want to put in a new USL JSD80D.
I was wondering whether we will run into some trouble when replacing the CP55 with the new processor. Are we gonna need special breakout boards or other adaptors?
There is no automation in place.
The DA20 manual doesn't say anything about the interference with processors other than the Dolby ones, especially how it handles automation signals and format control.
Up to now the two digital processors seem to have worked by themselves, they were not connected.
I am planning on routing the DTS signal through the DA20 to the processor.
Any suggestions on how to do this and what types of boards/adaptors are needed?

route the DA20 through the DTS, because the DA20 has no Subwoofer-passthrough.

That sounds quite reasonable. Is there a way to set up a SR.D fallback for DTS (with another fallback to SR), rather than directly going to SR?

Block the SR-Pulse coming from the DA20 via the DTS (when in Digital), depending on the Serialnumber you could do this with a 5v-relay connected to Pin 6 and 13 on the Stereo out of the DTS or by removing Jumper C3 on D426 and routing the DA20s SR-Line through Pin18 of JM11 and JM12. When DTS drops out pulse digital instead of SR, if there is no SRD, the DA20 will pulse SR. Something similar should also be possible on the D420 with the SW-passthrough used in CP55-installations.
