I am using a CP 650.
He do not detect sound movie (mono, sr, srd, ...) Must select sound manualy.
Is there, in his own menu, an action to speed up the automatic detection?

Because, sometime, I forget do to that .... [dlp]

The processor doesn't specifically know if the analog sound track is mono, stereo, Dolby A, or Dolby SR. It can recognize if a Dolby SR-D digital track is present. Generally one selects format 10 (SR-D) for all film sound and this format should have automatic fallback to analog SR if the digital track is missing or damaged. The menu setup for this is straightforward but you may want an exeprienced technician to do any fiddling with the formats - there isn't usually a reason to disable digital to analog fallback although I think it's possible on the CP650. All current films have Dolby SR analog tracks; if you have an old analog sound film with Dolby A or without noise reduction you have to select the required format manually or program your automation to do so.

we use the 650 here. Sounds like you need to look at the automation - like Dave suggests. I hope you fix the problem.
