HELP!
I need to change out the bulb in an old Xenolite D-20 lamphouse.
It's a 'standard' 2K xenon bulb, but I can't get it out.
The negative end seems stuck. (and is difficult to get to in that lamphouse)
I don't see a manual for it here on the FT website.
Does anybody have any ideas, short of breaking the bulb?
Is there some sort of 'trick' or bulb release I'm not seeing?

I would say the rear nut wasn't tightened enough; the bulb is now welded in. You could just remove the rear bulb support and buy a new one. (A "D" is like a "CH". Louis

OMG, I have that problem! A projectionist who works between two locations here is afraid of xenon bulbs, so he installs them not much more than finger tight. Showing him how to do it properly, of course, has no affect.
I've gotten to where I just keep about a dozen SLC cathode supports in my car stock.

Thanks guys for the info. I was able to loosen up the rear bulb support/contact last night. The bad news is that they either ordered or sent me the wrong bulb. It was a 2000watter, but it was the type with no threads on the negative end. Fortunately I realized this as soon as I opened the box and before I'd removed the old bulb. I'm going to grab a 'used-but-good' spare from another theater to stick in that lamphouse for a couple of days until they can get me the right bulb. This is for a 'screening room' sized auditorium that only seats about 30 people so I can make do with the spare for a couple of days. Thanks again for steering me in the right direction.
