Despite what some have implied about my presentation 'ethic' based on my posts on Film-Tech, I do strive to improve my presentation. To that end, I spent the last couple hours filing a new flat aperture plate for one of my houses because this one had a problem of showing sound track. I've posted the before and after pictures.

After taking these images I realized I can adjust the vertical edge of my masking and I will do that the next time I get a chance.

Any comments about improving this picture would be appreciated.

Great work! Your hard labour has paid off.

You could also look at re-centring the 1.85 lens very slightly (if possible) to bring the 0.825 ins line on the left closer again to the masking - assuming your side masking edges are plumbed vertical and are centred. (Is your Scope done common height in this screen BTW?). There looks like some "give" on the right-hand side of the image that might allow you to nudge the lens over ever so slightly.

Seems to be no mercy for going outside the 0.825 lines at all today, particularly on the soundtrack side with many DTS tracks printed on clear backgrounds - not that going outside the projectable image area is acceptable, just that there seems to be zero margin for error.

To really be able to tell you would have to link to a much larger image and take the photograph with the cleaning lights on and the masking open to scope (assuming side masking).

Ok, I'll try to get a bigger image. Would I still upload the image to Film-Tech. I'm just asking because of the deal about 550 pixel width on the upload page.
