This may be taboo to share this info but hey I don't care the more information the better.

I have been using old Trailers/comercials for the body of the Leader. Then a sec of (I guess white out film) plane nothing.Then I put on about 3sec of Clear Framed Leader stock. Last a good two+ sec of black Silent film.
The Standard leader lets us frame up in the same spot. The Sec of plane white is what I take to the top roller so I have enough slack after pulling through to my first frame so the take up dosen't kick on Prematurly + it is a good indication with the splice that my sound loop is the correct size. The black is just to give me plenty of time to open my shutter, let the sound change over, and make sure the platters are spinning properly.

We used to use just straight leader stock but it got munched (kids) and their was no reason to use that stuff for the body of the leader when we only need it to frame up on. Especially since we pay for that. I would rather use old Trailers for the body since they come free and are going to end up in the trash/recycle anyways.

Right now I am curious if any one else has any special things they do. that might further this.

On the front (head) of the leader is blank film. No framelines, no nothing. Actually I do mark the soundtrack side with a marker since the managers run the booth when I am not there and they are, well, managers after all. After about 15 or so feet of this is regular blue frameline leader which goes for about 65 feet or so. Then after that is fullcoat mag for about 5 to 10 feet for the douser to open on. Leader is cues for a start cue because motoring to a specific spot is stupid.
