I have CP200 in front of me and per Steve Guttag’s instructions (he is the man!!! [thumbsup]

) I want to upgrade the unit to its best. I’ve acquired CAT560, CAT150D and CAT517 (but only one piece, I guess that I have to find another one as well). Per Steve instructions I wanted to find and put CAT108C, but the card in that place in CP200 reads “CAT108-4”. What exactly is this card, is it some upgrade over CAT108? Should I change it or no?

Hi Darko....

Cat 108-4 is also old version of dolby preamplifier. I have some 108-3 here which are normal Cat 108 and you can't reach over 12,5KHz with it.

So it would be best to get 108C because you will have better S/N ratio and frequency response what is important for cat 280 SR and 150D to work better.
Cat 108C was made I think in 1987 when SR was arrived so that old processor can have better SR and matrix decoding (cat 150E or F)
