Looking some old but working cat64's at home I was think to upgrade them somehow to sound better, for start maybe better opams, exchange some cap's for better ones and so. Also because I don't have 64B schematic, are they same in design or there are any huge difference between them?

Gain structure & headroom primarily. The "B" won't work in a CP-100. (OK in 50,55,65, 200)Look at the instructions for setting CP-64 levels in the 50 and the 100. One drives the card harder than the other. Louis

There are component differences between the B and the original. The B is quieter....in addition to the obvious differences (no level or head EQ on the B)

Does anybody have "B" schematic so I can compare that two?
