Are people familiar with this panel, which uses the pegs to set the automation sequence?

What happened was, the automation went through its cycle, but then wouldn't reset back to the first line. There's a small plastic gear that controls the sequence, and it looks like a spring attached to it may be broken.

Just wondering if someone has some experience here. The EE panel has been very reliable.

Is EE still in business? There's an EE in California, but not the right one!

Didn't Lou Bornwasser manufacture those behemoths? The good thing about them is you can lock your tool box inside one when you leave the building during the night... if it's the one I am thinking of... there is a companion booth monitor thats almost as large!

(The newer 95 and 08 automations are somewhat smaller (20 x 20")) Louis

Thia was made for a single customer who intended it to be a "do-all" box. Given that $75/box is what electrical contractors billed for a single switch, the goal was to eliminate as much of these as possible.

Worked perfectly up until digital tv. (More switches now, but it is still the "controller" for the tv systems.) Louis

These are A#1 in the reliability department, and I've have practically no trouble with them in the field. Other than the occasional panel switch that gets broken from misuse, the only thing I've ever had go wrong is the stepper relay will get dirty after about 10 years and be slow to reset - and that's what sounds like may be the trouble here. A little cleaning and WD-40 on that shaft, however, will clear it up.

FWIW, in my days with Louis and Hadden, I built many of the boards in the early models of this automation, as well as 500+ Dolby Digital sound racks! When you're out in the field, it's pretty cool to run into something you built.
