We actually received our print of Despereaux early yesterday and while examining it I found a weird spot at the end of reel 5 (It is about 1 to 2 secs from the end of the reel) where the blue edges of the film went yellow and it looks like the film had been processed with two strips of film overlapping each other by a good 10 frames. it also gets darker and you can see the outline of the overlapping film. Did anyone else get this on their prints or did I just get a screwed up print. I am going to run it and see what it looks like on the screen but I am ready to cut it out.

The film on Desperaux actually looked excellent I didn't have any lab splices. I am running a check now and it looks great on the screen as well.

Yeah, I didn't notice any lab splices on ours either. Weird thing was one of our Yes Man prints had been viewed already. Usually all our new prints are unused.

You nailed it right there. It's a lab problem. Request a new reel, don't just cut-out the footage.

Frankly our punisher that just finished playing had bad Digital sound all the way through reel 5 and we did not get a new reel. I marked it for the next guy but who knows. I may get the word to just cut it but I agree I would like a new reel.

I didn't personally build it up but was wondering if anyone knows if there are Head and Tails ID frames anywhere on the web. I have a customer swearing up and down that their are scenes out of place in our print. I highly doubt a reel was put in the wrong order but I am compelled to check I suppose.

Any Ideas? [Frown]

Actually, it looks like someone put in reel 5 ahead of reel 4, SWEET [beer]

Call Technicolor. 800-993-4567. They will either give you a URL, fax you the checkframes, or do something else intelligent.

Typically they'd be on TES' CheckFrames web site but for some reason they're not there.
