I would like to be able to input full 6 channel analogue audio from the RCA outs on a blu-ray player to an Ultra Stereo JS-200. The only input that is 6 channel capable is occupied by a DA-20. If I piggyback wires to an RCA breakout board to plug the blu-ray player into, do I risk interfering with the DA-20's signal during normal film operation? or will the everything be fine if it is wired properly with properly terminated shields and nothing is plugged in to the RCA jacks while using the DA-20?

There's an input on the DA20, you can use that one.

If I use the input on the DA-20, how do i tell it to use that input? Does it automatically use that input when there is no digital signal from the reader?

Yes. You could also power down the DA-20 or the reader. Louis

Okay, so in the DA-20 manual, section 2.5.3.6, DA20 to CP200 Wiring Tables I see all the channels I need and their associated DB25 pin numbers for input to the DA20, except SW. If i use pin 24 as is used for SW output, will I have a SW signal passing through the DA20? Is it just not listed as it is of no use with the CP200 or is there no pass through for the SW signal?

You must make a small modification to the DA-20 backplane to enable subwoofer passthrough. There's a document and pictures in the "manuals" section of this site detailing the procedure.

It's in a separate zip file listed as "DA20 modification for subwoofer pass-through" in the Manuals section.
