Hey guys,
We're installing a digital projector and using our CP500 for audio. We have connected the sever into a USL DAX D/A Converter and then connected to the External 6 Channel Audio Input. Problem is the front panel screen indicates that external channel audio in not available. How do I make this available?

You need an optional plug in card, a CAT685. It goes into J10.

I carry a few of these cards at all times for the occasional order.

One card just to enable External 6 Channel. It was the way Dolby tried to kill DTS!!

How long will Dolby have the cat. 685 card to buy? I've got two more 500's to add one to for D-Cinema.

Best to order now or just replace the 500 with a 650. Louis

The 685 card is a far cry cheaper than the 650 and the even 750. I think I'll go with the card. I better get on it. I wonder what a good price is? I have not purchased one in ten years.
