I know the factory zener for the auto strike board is the wrong one for use with the lower voltage Irem rectifiers but does anyone know which zener is correct? I was thinking the zener shold be either 47 volts or 52 volts at 5 watts. Have changed these out many times but its been a while and I've forgotten.

Thanks to anyone out there that might be able to refresh my brain!!!

I have used a 51 volt 2 watter on Irem N3-X75 rectifiers with no problem. Their no load is typically 90 vdc

Thanks Bob! Yesterday I did get two 52 volt 5 watt zeners so I would assume thats close enough.

BTW Graingers has a 110 VAC SPST relay that is compact and enclosed w/push on terminals. It works real well for an Irem application. I believe it is a 4A711.

Strong has traditionally offered Three different auto-ignite boards for the Super Lume-X. They have since condensed it down to two...I know one uses the 51V zener.

51v sounds right to me. (I would have made only one board with selectable zeners if I had made it, so there would only have been one stock number. . . . zeners are cheap. Louis

Czech Meopta has jumper so you can selct no-load voltage of rectifier [Wink]
