Based on the display labels and mention of air pressure and other specific projector variables I'd guess it's for a controller for a Showscan or other special venue setup.

Looks like it could be for the Epic special-venue projector Christie marketed around the time digital cinema was still in the prototype stage.

Wonder if one can find the Christie part/model number mounted somewhere on this device (i.e. IGA15M . MK35 . 3Q . 112564-001.. et.al - for example's sake) and do a search (a google search for example), then maybe one can get a more descriptive name of this device.

Lo and behold, the Christie Epic manual is in the F-T Equipment Manual Warehouse. Go to page 13 for an overview of the controller.

originally that was the westrex special venue/studio projector which was used by showscan and simex

they originally designed the machine at westrex and that was sold to christie and now they service them and still build them
