Cinemark is advertising it as "Shown in HD" and they're charging $10. Some quick googling suggests theaters will be running it on Blu-ray. Is that true? Why not release it in full D-Cinema format? Why mess with Blu-ray?

A blurb in The Baltimore Sun refers to it this way:

Or are theaters actually running it in "real" D-Cinema and this is a promotional thing for the Blu-ray home video release?

Most of the similar NCN events are done by blu-ray but sent in over the internet and usually played on the individual theater's preshow projector (assuming that it supports HD of course).

The digital preshows at the Cinemark here are always so dim they're pathetic. The advertisers paying to be in that preshow are being ripped off. Wonder if the theater actually does something about that for this show.
